Kanazawa University Held the International Students Gathering 2025/ 令和7年度留学生懇談会を開催
On December 2nd, Kanazawa University held the International Students Gathering 2025, attended by a total of 40 students, faculty and staff. This gathering is held every year to further promote international exchange and understanding at our university, and to deepen ties between international students and faculty and staff. Furthermore, this year, under the theme of “multicultural co-learning,” Japanese students were also invited to participate.
The gathering began with an opening address by President Wada Takashi. In his speech, he mentioned that Kanazawa University has been selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology ” Project for Creating World-Class Graduate Education Hubs to Lead the Future (FLAGs) “and stated its commitment to strengthening the development of next-generation doctoral talent who will lead the future. Next, the Noh chanting and small drum performance by the Kanazawa University Noh Circle “Hosho-kai,” followed by presentations by international students introducing their home universities and highlighting the attractions of Kanazawa University, enlivened the venue. The gathering became livelier, accompanied by the smooth facilitation of Assistant Professor Tomoya Sato from the International Center for Japanese Studies and Education.
At the venue, handmade cookies by students from Kanazawa University Special Needs School and Kanazawa University’s original Guatemalan coffee were served, and both international and Japanese students in a friendly atmosphere, deepened their interaction with each other while enjoying chatting and taking photos with the President, whom they hardly have the chance to have a face-to-face conversation usually.
12月2日,令和7年度留学生懇談会を開催し,学生および教職員40名が参加しました。留学生懇談会は,本学の国際交流・国際理解を一層推進するとともに,留学生と教職員などとの懇親を深める場として毎年開催しています。さらに,今年は「多文化共修」をテーマに,日本人学生にも参加を呼びかけました。
はじめに,和田隆志学長から開会のあいさつがあり,本学が文部科学省「未来を先導する世界トップレベル大学院教育拠点創出事業(FLAGs)」に採択されたことに触れ,次世代を牽引する博士人材の育成を強化すると述べました。続いて,本学能楽サークル「宝生会」による謡(うたい)および小鼓の演奏,さらに,留学生による出⾝⼤学紹介と本学の魅力についての発表があり,国際日本研究教育センターの佐藤智哉准教授の進行もあって会場は大いに盛り上がりました。
会場では,本学附属特別支援学校の生徒が手作りしたクッキーや,本学オリジナルのグアテマラコーヒーがふるまわれ,参加者は和やかな雰囲気の中,互いに交流を深めながら,普段なかなか直接話す機会のない学長らとの歓談や写真撮影を楽しみました。
